WHAT: This journal is a place to observe and diagnose Mary Sue type stories based off of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. It is ripped shamelessly off of The Potter Sue of the Day, and it's respective replicas.

All in all, this is a review journal. I review and critique stories, not authors. If you find your story on here, please try and take the comments objectively and apply the feedback to your future works. Throwing fits, or whining at me or any of the commentors, will not to anything besides make us chuckle.

WHY: Pirates is, in my opinion, the best movie out this summer. I was in a state of insane fangirl excitement an entire month before the movie's release - Johnny Depp as a PIRATE! Dear God! - but then my excitement was KILLED seeing near SIXTY Pirates stories up on the Pit of Voles not a week after the movie's release. It made me think that my fangirlish behavior was possibly not all that fangirlish.

While Pirates - God willing - will never have the huge audience like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, the insane amount of fanfics spawned by this movie in such a short amount of time warrants attention.

I do not advocate or condone flaming anyone.

WHEN: This journal should be updated approximately every other day with a fic review. If the fandom gets big enough, perhaps it will turn into a community. If you would like to suggest a fic to be reviewed, by all means, leave a comment in an entry, or e-mail it to me.
